Level 1 Sequence 1 Yoga Sequence for Beginners

Preparation

You may want to have a couple of bricks, big books or a wee stool handy (but not necessary), and the sequence finishes with your legs up the wall, so make sure you can have the short end of your mat by a bit of wall space or against a closed door.

Make sure, before you start, that you have had a look at the poses so you know what will be coming up - it will make following the teaching on the audio file easier. It may also be a good idea to have the picture to hand - printed out or on screen.

Supporting sequence audio

We have created audio files for you to use with the practice sheets, with Julie teaching the sequence in real time. You will be able to use these sheets and audio files when and wherever it suits you, repeat them as often as you like, or even download them so you can use them without WiFi.

(Note that this link opens a Dropbox file – either directly or via the Dropbox home page. There is no need to get the App or open an account. Just close the pop-up and the file will open. Click the play arrow and off you go!)

Getting started with your Beginners Yoga Sequence

Once you have your sequence of poses visible to you (on screen or as a print out), hit play on the audio file and you are all set to begin.

Enjoy the audio instructions as you practice. There is no need to look at a screen throughout the class which we hope you find more immersive and beneficial to your home practice.
